Located further north from Legian, Seminyak is home for most ordinary to high-end restaurants, shopping centers, spas, accommodations and nightlife. Beaches in Seminyak are grey sandy beaches. These beaches are quieter than Kuta beach and they have great sunsets also good for swimming (between the safe flags) and beginner surfer. The development of this area make Seminyak more congested.

Canggu is a district about 15-20 minutes north of Seminyak, starting from Berawa Village to Cemagi Village which is including Batu Bolong beach, Echo beach, Nelayan beach, Pererenan beach, Pantai Lima beach, Seseh and Mengening beaches. The beaches characteristic are having black sand with big waves and strong current. Parts of them are good for surfing and not recommended for swimming. Much of the area features quietly terrain with rice paddies which is the personality of south central Bali. There are some good restaurants, especially located along the beaches and the present of Canggu Club makes the area even more upscale. Many budget to luxury villas built within this area.

Umalas is a residential area which is now considered as outskirt of Seminyak area. For those who seek for quiet, yet close to everything, this will be a perfect area. Many restaurants and villas are established here and some with stunning view of rice fields and river.

These beaches are white sandy beach and great spot for surfing and swimming, still children must be under supervision.
